The lab is where you feel secure. It's where you have spent the greatest percentage of your recent life. Over there, everything is predictable. You can even predict what is predictable and what is not. You have complete control. You can easily run away from your unpredictable, chaotic and par fois awkward social and personal life to your bench, your microscope and samples. You can look at your cells with greatest magnification without any worry of them looking at you back, of hurting their feelings; without the constant fear of 'what might they be thinking about?' It's your world and it belongs to you and no one else, you are the sole thinker and decision maker of what is going to happen next and you can try over and over until you make it happen, the way you want it to happen.
